Hurricane Matthew has been on the rampage across the Caribbean Islands for the past few days, wreaking havoc on island nations. It is predicted to move across Cuba, then head north up the east coast of the southern US. In the Pacific, Typhoon Chaba battered South Korea’s coast, and is now headed to Japan.

God does not promise that our lives will be free of storms, but He does promise to be with us in the storms of life: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)

Please pray for God’s peace and presence to be with the people who are suffering through these storms. “‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10

LMW’s Board of Directors will meet this week to discuss our mission, and to pray about and plan our future direction. God is opening doors for LMW to share His Word throughout the world. Many like-minded ministries have contacted us to establish partnerships that will advance our goal to provide pastors in the global church with the means to preach the Word of God clearly, plainly, and confidently.

God is using LMW and The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® to grow His Kingdom. Will you please pray for the leaders of this ministry this week –  that the Holy Spirit will be evident throughout the Board meeting and that God will direct our steps as we plan for our future in His service.

In the photo above, new believers in Pakistan prepare for baptism in sunset’s glow. It is estimated that 50,000 new believers are baptized EVERY DAY! God is doing a mighty work in the hearts of His children. Praise Him for this generation of believers He is raising up.

We invite you to pray for the leaders of this new generation of believers. Pray that they will be filled with the Holy Spirit, empowering them to shepherd their people in the faith. God continues to call faithful servants into ministry. These pastors and leaders are eager to serve, and are seeking wisdom and discernment as they study and preach. May God grant them grace and wisdom as they serve Him.

Leaders are gathering in Northern Nigeria right now for Mobilize 2016 – “Unleashing the Gospel.” Please pray for this summit, its leaders and all those attending, that they will be inspired and equipped to unleash the gospel throughout this land; that they will find refreshment and renewed commitment to fulfill the Great Commission; that new networks of pastors and believers will be established leading to a passion for evangelism throughout Africa.

The World Mission Mobilization Leadership Summit began on Tuesday and will end this Saturday, September 17. Take a moment right now and lift these leaders up in prayer. Thank you.

Pastors in Malawi received training last week from Timothy Olonade, LMW’s Vice President of International Training. Their training included using The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® to learn how to prepare a biblical sermon that would speak God’s truth to the hearts of the people.

Pastors were grateful to receive this training and resources, including access to the complete Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® through Lystra Global, our free online library for pastors and trainers.

Please pray for these leaders who are stepping out in faith to share God’s Word in their communities, changing hearts and minds, and growing the Kingdom of God throughout the earth.

Pray for Pastors in Baton Rouge

Flood waters swept through this Louisiana town a few weeks ago, turning streets into rivers, destroying homes, schools, hospitals and churches. We invite you to pray for pastors in that area who have lost so much, and are ministering to a flock that is struggling to recover from the devastation.

Many of these servants of God have lost everything – their homes, clothing, food, computers, phones, and entire libraries of biblical resources. They are struggling to rebuild their lives – and their churches – in the weeks ahead. As soon as the flood waters began receding, we heard from pastors who lost their Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® series. They are eager to replace this critical resource that helps them preach, teach, and guide their people.
