PAKISTAN – A Light in the Darkness

October 7, 2015 By LMW

[fusion_text]A mere 1.6% of Pakistan’s population is Christian, but that does nothing to dampen Rev. Patras Nazir’s spirit. This visionary, energetic Christian leader has been inspired by the Holy Spirit to train and equip pastors throughout Pakistan.

As founder of Pakistan Christian Leadership Ministries, Rev. Nazir has used his English language skills to translate Outline Bible Resources into Urdu. Leadership Ministries Worldwide’s donors financed the printing of 2,000 sermon booklets based on The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible®. The demand for the books was so great that Rev. Nazir recently printed 1,500 additional books: “These resources are unique in Pakistan – such study materials are not available in Pakistan in English or Urdu.”

In just the past 2 months, he has traveled to 5 cities in different corners of Pakistan, carrying the books he has translated to train Christian pastors, church leaders and evangelists. Rev. Nazir travels by train and bus, carrying loads of books on his back or in bags, often through hostile territory.

Yet Rev. Nazir is not discouraged: “The greatest rewards of my ministry are the salvation and winning of souls for Christ through our preaching and teaching. When people invite us to return to their churches again and again, it means that God’s Holy Spirit is touching and blessing them through us.”

“Through our translation work, thousands of people come to know the methods and principles of teaching and preaching, and the profundity of the Biblical message. They have been equipped and trained and are working in different areas throughout Pakistan. We continue this work for the glory of the Lord as God makes it possible for us.”

The Word into the World – Equipping those who are called

October 7, 2015 By LMW

The world is hungry for God’s Word – yet many of those who are called to preach have only a few hours of Bible training. These pastors and leaders desperately need resources and training to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word. God is working to grow His Kingdom throughout the world, and is opening doors for Leadership Ministries Worldwide to provide the valuable biblical resources these pastors need.

Through ongoing partnerships with Christian organizations and international pastor training networks, seminaries, Bible colleges, and translators, we are advancing toward our goal of placing The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® in the hands of over one million pastors and church leaders worldwide. Thanks be to Him that these doors are being opened for the salvation of the world.

We invite you to join us in our international ministry:

  • Join our prayer network and stay updated on prayer needs at outlinebible.org/pray.
  • Give now by visiting our website at outlinebible.org/give.

ROMANIA

In partnership with Frontline Fellowship, Timisoara Baptist Seminary, and Timisoara Baptist Bible Institute, a group of Romanian pastors are nearing completion of the third volume of the Romanian translation of The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible®.

TANZANIA

International Training Director Timothy Olonade assisted with a training and leadership development workshop for over 100 pastors in Tanzania. Timothy offered instruction on effective use of The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® to help them go beyond their training so that they are fully equipped to share the gospel message in their towns and communities.

“It trained pastors to bear fruit, equipping them to evangelize, and strengthening their faith to grow the Christian church in their community.” – Archbishop Mwakang’ata, Full Victory Gospel Ministry

NIGERIA

Earlier this year, Timothy Olonade participated in three separate training events in Nigeria, hosted by First Baptist Church Ipaja, Christ Church Gbagada, and the Jos Province diocese of the Anglican Church. At these events, Timothy encouraged over 200 ministers in their spiritual growth and presented The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® as a valuable resource for preaching and teaching.

A participant’s comments: “This training has reminded me that my ministry must be properly centered on God’s Word. The materials provided are very helpful for reading and understanding God’s Word.“

HONG KONG

The Lord has begun to open doors in Hong Kong for translating and printing partnerships that present great opportunities for sharing the Gospel in China and throughout Asia. Leadership Ministries Worldwide has also been invited to participate in an Asia Conference in September to introduce our material to business and church leaders.

MYANMAR

We are exploring an opportunity with Pastor Daniel Lin Aung of Myanmar to translate The Minister’s Personal Handbook into Burmese and distribute 5,000 copies to pastors in this country where only 4% of the population is Christian.

PHILIPPINES

Missionary Marc Buxton and pastor James Macadangdang have used The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible®, along with other Outline Bible Resources to lead their churches and to provide training and leadership to other church planters in Manila. Their goal is to plant 80 more churches in metro Manila, and to provide training and mentorship to pastors attending the Baptist Bible College of Asia.

This outreach to pastors and leaders in the Philippines is happening in partnership with Megacity Ministries, Inc., Global Surge, the International Baptist Network, and Mission Increase Foundation.

COLUMBIA

Partnering with The Grace Institute, a pastoral training network, we are preparing to distribute 1,000 Spanish-language copies of The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® to pastors in Columbia, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.

RUSSIA

Leadership Ministries Worldwide is renewing its engagement with the Slavic Gospel Association to continue translation of The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® into Russian.

NEPAL

We are developing an opportunity to partner with a local pastor to translate The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® into Nepalese.

SOUTH AMERICA

We are exploring opportunities to provide The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® as a resource

Meet Greg Duble, Chief Steward; – “God owns it all”

October 7, 2015 By LMW

Leadership Ministries Worldwide’s Vice President of Development, Greg Duble, is a servant of Christ with a keen understanding that we are all simply stewards of our resources: God owns it all.

Greg grew up in a Christian family, always knowing about God’s Word and calling. However, he was 30 years old before he came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and since then, he has dedicated his life to a ministry of sharing God’s love in business and development. “Coming later to Christ, I have a sense of knowing what God saved me from, and what God saved me for.”

He joined Leadership Ministries Worldwide in March 2015, with a contagious excitement for the ministry. “What really grabbed me about this position is the future of the ministry. The exponential growth and change possible with The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® is amazing. When this valuable resource is added to pastors’ libraries, they are equipped to go beyond their training with an amazing tool to help them clearly articulate the Gospel.” To that end, Greg would love to see us accomplish our goal of putting The Preacher’s Outline and Sermon Bible® in the hands of over 1 million pastors.

Greg is eager to meet new people who are enthusiastic about equipping pastors for ministry worldwide. “I’m going out to visit with God’s people who are sharing God’s ministries, and asking them to share God’s resources.”

Interested in exploring opportunities to support our ministry? Contact Greg at: 423-855-2181, or by email at [email protected].“The thing I love the most about this work is the impact I can have on people. My sense is that what God cares most about is the souls of men and eternity.”

The Psalms are emotional expressions that speak to our hearts – sharing praise, joy, lament and sorrow with our God who demonstrates faithful love and forgiveness. Some of the most joyous and the most difficult expressions of faith are contained in these Psalms.

As we look forward to the launch of Psalms Vol. 2 later this summer, here are a few the different categories included in Psalms 42-106:

  • Praise: “I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart.” Psalm 86:12
  • Lament: “I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me?” Psalm 42:9
  • The Kingdom of God: “The Lord Reigneth…He is high above all the people.” Psalm 91:1-2
  • Confession: “Have mercy upon me, O God . . . Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:1-2
  • Judgment “God standeth in the congregation of the mighty: he judgeth among the gods.” Psalm 82:1
  • Thanksgiving: “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving.” Psalm 95:2

Psalms Vol. 2 will be available for pre-order in July. Share your favorite Psalm or verse from Psalms on our Facebook page – Leadership Ministries Worldwide

“The Psalms are the great prayer book of the Bible and at the heart of Christian worship, praise, and adoration. The Preacher’s Outline and Sermon Bible® offers a richly detailed and comprehensive study guide to this precious part of God’s Word. A valuable resource for Christian workers everywhere.” – Dr. Timothy George, Dean, Beeson Divinity School, Samford University, Birmingham, AL

Did you know?

  • About half of people who regularly read the Bible turn most often to the Psalms.

"I was in prison and you visited me"

October 7, 2015 By LMW

Several prison ministries have requested The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible®as a resource for preaching and teaching.  As Leadership Ministries Worldwide is able to respond to their requests, we are encouraged by their response to the Word, and to the ease of using these resources in their ministry.

Recently we received letters from prisoners in Texas whose lives are being transformed. Pray for those who are imprisoned, that Christ will be revealed as they study God’s Word.

Pray for translating partnerships

October 7, 2015 By LMW

Leadership Ministries Worldwide’s goal is to provide resources and biblical training for 2 million pastors worldwide. Pray for us as we continue to develop translating partnerships that will enable us to complete the translations of Outline Bible Resources in Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, and Romanian – that the world may come to know Christ as the global church is equipped and empowered to share God’s Word.
