   What would you do if bombs and bullets were falling all around your house? If your friend, cousin, or neighbor was tortured, imprisoned, killed – whether it was for political reasons or for their faith? 
    More than 60 million people around the world have been in a situation like this where they have to make a quick decision – to pack up and leave the place they have called home all their lives, and cross dangerous territory to live in a camp with thousands of other people and only primitive supplies. Half of the world’s displaced people are children – more than 30 million.
    On this day, we ask you to pray for the refugees around the world, and for those ministries that reach out to help, offering food, shelter, medical supplies, and hope. May God be with them, and may the refugees see Him working in their midst.

What a blessing it is to be able to share God’s Word, clearly explained in The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible®. LMW receives requests from pastors around the world for these books which help them understand and clearly articulate God’s Word, growing His Kingdom.
This week, more than 8,000 volumes were shipped to the Theological Book Network, who will distribute them to pastors in India, Brazil, the UAE, Russia – and other places where there is a great need for quality biblical resources.

Pray for Pastors in Romania

Romanian pastors receive new resources
Blessed by God’s Word
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17.
What a blessing it is to have God’s Word readily accessible – on computers, tablets, phones – and in printed Bibles, commentaries, etc. Many pastors around the world have only one well-used Bible, the pages time-worn, the bindings coming loose. Pastors in Romania recently received training from Pastor Bob Patty of Chattanooga (center right, stripe shirt) – who also gave them 1 & 2 Corinthians Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® AND “What the Bible Says to the Minister” in their native language – for FREE.
These gifts were met with an outpouring of love and appreciation from the Romanian Pastors: “It was a joy to be together with brother Bob and hear him talk on 1 and 2 Corinthians.” “Thank you so much for the books. We are eagerly awaiting other volumes.” “People are perishing for lack of knowledge. Thank you for the sacrifice you make.”
We invite you to pray for pastors across Romania who are serving God in large cities and across the rural landscape. May His Word encourage their hearts.

Pray for the spread of the gospel in Pakistan

We invite you to pray for Rev. Patras Nazir and his Christian ministry partners in Pakistan. God has given Rev. Nazir a mission to take the gospel across the country, raising up and training pastors and planting churches.

Rev. Nazir dedicates much of his time translating biblical resources from English into his native Urdu language. He has recently printed 1,500 sermon booklets derived from the Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible® in the Urdu language. He will share these books with pastors across Pakistan. But he needs transportation to deliver them. He rented a van to get the books to his home. He and his wife usually travel across the country on a motorcycle with books in backpacks and in bags. Pray that God will provide the needed transportation.

 

Changed Lives

David Adegboye’s life changed when he accepted Christ as a young engineering student in 1974. As he grew in faith, he received a call into ministry, serving as a bi-vocational pastor for nine years before he became a full time pastor. Over his years in ministry he rejoiced to see the power of the gospel to change lives, especially among people who are persecuted for their faith. However, he has also seen the proliferation of the prosperity gospel throughout Africa, which has strengthened his resolve to empower pastors to preach the sincere Word of God.

Today he serves as a mentor and teacher, establishing others in the faith, just as he was discipled through the years, working in Nigeria and throughout Africa with Timothy Olonade, Vice President of International Training for LMW. He is an avid fan of LMW’s free online library and training platform, Lystra Global.

God is at work in Africa as dedicated pastors like David Adegboye preach, teach, and disciple young believers and pastors in their walk of faith. With a strong foundation in God’s Word, these pastors are able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ confidently, faithfully, and accurately.

Pray for wisdom in a changing world

In the midst of a rapidly-changing world, the Word of God is alive and active. Where there is despair – the decline of family systems, poverty, injustice, division, war, disease – Christ brings hope.

We invite you to pray for the leaders of LMW – that God will give them wisdom and discernment as the ministry equips leaders for gospel centered ministry worldwide. New technologies and improved internet access are part of the changing landscape that can be used to distribute God’s Word – bringing hope to the world. May God grant LMW wisdom as we explore these new technologies and partner with ministries and individuals who are committed to sharing the gospel worldwide.
